October 3rd, 2009 - Breast Cancer Charity Event

I want to start off first by thanking all that attended and helped out during the event.  We raised $500.00 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Charity.  When I dropped off the money we raised to the Maryland Office they were very thankful and appreciated our contribution to the charity.  The Breast Cancer Charity Event will happen every October.

The Points Series still has a few people close if not tied for first place but the November 14th Event at the Middle River Hobbies Track might change that since it is a Double Points Race, so those that are a little behind might come out on top with only one more race in the Point Series.

Get those Monster Trucks ready!  Hope to see you all November 14th!

                             August 8th, 2009 – Points Race #3

What Joey from No Limit R/C of Virginia once said must be true. “God must love Monster Truck Racing because he gave us another beautiful day to race”.

Thank you to SMC for providing some great prizes, including T-Shirts and awesome LiPo Batteries for the Electric Racers.  Also, thanks HPI-Racing for T-Shirts to give away.

The Major League of Monster Trucks Hybrid Track was challenging but the racers really showed their skills.  There were a lot of very close races on Saturday.  Gabe Gravini added another trophy to his collection for winning Young Guns Racing.  Mike Hylton took 1st place in Small Block and Electric just beating his opponents by a few seconds.  Run Whatcha Brung was won by a new racer, Ethan Cooper.  He also won the long jump competition.  Tom Scott beat out the Big Block Competitors to take home the Trophy.  Mike Hylton also won his First Freestyle making him the Double Down Winner for August!

Pulling went really well and is becoming more competitive.  Ronnie Santucci running the Cudanator completed a full pull of 40 lbs. beating out the competition for the Electric Pulling win.  Josh Simmons took the title for Small Block and Lee Simmons got the Title for Big Block, Also pulling 40 lbs. with ease.

The Points Series is really heating up!   In Young Guns Racing, Gabe Gravini is leading the points chase with Sonny Santucci on his heals.  Mike Hylton still holds the lead with Fred White and Josh Simmons close behind in Small Block.  Roger Motto and Bill Chancey are tied for 1st in Big Block Racing with Tom Scott only 10 Points back!   Ronnie Santucci holds onto 1st Place in Electric Racing with Chris Agostinelli closing the points spread.

June 13th, 2009

What an awesome day!  Jay Snyder and his son Cory brought out the Screamin’ Demon Monster Truck to the Event.  We were privileged to have the Screamin’ Demon drive around the fields before and after the event.  Jay let many kids get into the drivers seat and even let NLRCMD President, Mike Hylton start it up during a break.  Jay also signed autographs and took part in many pictures.  Thanks again Jay for making NLRCMD’s One Year Anniversary / Free Event something truly special.

Thank you to Middle River Hobbies for supplying the event with Prizes and Give-a-ways, we appreciate your support.

The Technical Track Layout proved to be both exciting and tough at the same time.  There were many close races with Sonny Santucci and his E-Revo taking 1st in Young Guns Racing, Mike Hylton and his Revo taking the title in Small Block Racing and Bill Chancey nudging out close competition with his Savage for the win in Big Block Racing.  In the Run Whatcha Brung Class, Ronnie Santucci took home the 1st Place Trophy with his E-Revo.

Freestyle is one of the favorites for Drivers and Spectators alike and Jay Snyder stepped in to be one of the Judges.  The Freestyle contestants got to show off their skill and got judged by a Monster Jam Driver.  Gabe Gravini came out as the Freestyle Champion running his E-Revo and received a Screamin’ Demon T-Shirt from Jay Snyder along with his Trophy.

Long Jump also is another crowd pleaser and many trucks were with-in feet of each other in distance.  After the trucks stopped flying and the dust settled, Roger Motto once again came out victorious with his Savage and a jump of over 36’

Pulling is gaining in popularity and Electric’s were geared up and ready for the competition.  The Pull off was round after round of sled pulling action and Gabe Gravini took the Electric Pulling Title.  Mike Hylton took the Small Block title and Tom Scott proved to have the strongest Big Block Truck to take home the title.

The Points Series is heating up!  Join us next month on July 11th for Race #2 of the Silver Cup Points Series!
